International standards and safety standards for reflective raincoats

1. Reflective effect: Reflective raincoats are usually made of reflective materials, such as reflective fabric or reflective strips. When selecting reflective raincoats, it is important to ensure that the reflective material complies with national or regional standards, such as European standard EN471 or American standard ANSI 107. These standards have clear requirements for the brightness and visible distance of reflective materials.

2. Reflective area: A larger reflective area can provide better visibility and safety. Therefore, it is advisable to choose raincoats with larger reflective areas, especially when used at night or in harsh weather conditions.

3. Safety: According to Directive 89/686/EEC, personal protective equipment (PPE) must meet safety requirements to ensure the health protection and safety of users. The directive includes two key reflective clothing testing standards: EN ISO 20471 Reflective Clothing - Test Methods and Requirements, and EN 1150 Protective Clothing - Visible Clothing for Non Professional Purposes - Test Methods and Requirements.

4. Unified standards: There are three unified standards for CE certification of high visibility accessories, including general requirements EN ISO 13688:2013, specific type standards EN ISO 20471:2013, and non professional use visibility accessories EN 1150:1999.

When selecting reflective raincoats, attention should be paid to their reflective effect, reflective area, safety, and compliance with international and safety standards to ensure visibility and safety during use.
